About the GPP in Physics

The UC Riverside GPP in Physics allows you to take upper division courses at UCR to prepare for the master's degree or PhD that you want. The Physics Department's mission is to maintain a research and teaching environment that integrates research in several subfields of physics and astronomy and infuses that research into undergraduate and graduate education. In research, we seek greater understanding of the origin and structure of the universe, and the basic interactions which govern it. We seek atomic and molecular scale understanding of condensed and biological material systems and to provide the nucleus of interaction between materials, biological, and environmental science and engineering researchers at UCR.
