Master of Business Preparation Program (MBPP)

The UC Riverside School of Business Master of Business Preparation Program allows you to take upper-division business courses at UCR to prepare for the business master's degree of your choice. Choose from UCR master's program in Business Administration (MBA), Finance (MFIN), Professional Accountancy (MPAC), or Business Analytics (MSBA). While enrolled in the MBPP, our advising and admissions counselors will assist you in choosing courses and guide you in preparing for your application to the A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management.

Faculty

You will be taught by an interdisciplinary team of internationally-renowned professors from every business specialty, including management, accounting, finance, information systems, marketing, supply chain management, and data analytics. Additionally, you will learn from instructors who are invested in your success and supported by full-time academic counselors.

Program Roadmap

The below path outlines a student’s journey to the MBPP and beyond.

Students will have completed 3 years of study at their home university when starting their MBPP journey

The number 1 over a road

MBPP students spend 1 year at the UCR School of Business, earning a total of 36 upper-division undergraduate units. At the completion of the MBPP, students will receive a bachelor's degree issued from their home university plus a certificate from UCR Extension.

Students who apply to their preferred graduate management program and successfully receive admission will be able to stay at UCR to begin their 1- or 2-year business graduate program or move to the university of their choice.

Who is Eligible?

  • Must have completed 3 years of study in a degree program at your home university
  • English Proficiency: TOEFL 550 PBT, iBT 80, IELTS 6.5, Duolingo 100, CET-4 500 or CET-6 460
  • Competitive GPA in an undergraduate program
